Hello! My name is Lauren and I recently graduated with a first in Natural Sciences from Peterhouse, Cambridge, specialising in Chemistry. Since then, I have worked in the boarding department of an all girls' school, providing pastoral care to students from 9-18 years old. I have since worked as Deputy Director of University Access at a leading East London state school, supporting students applying to Oxbridge and top Russell group universities. As part of this, I conducted individual personal statement tutorials, ran admissions test preparation classes (for NSAA, ENGAA and PAT) and prepared students for university interviews. As such, I am extremely well-acquainted with the application processes for UK universities and can ensure your child maximises their chances of successful application.

At A Level I achieved 4 A*s in Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths and Physics, in addition to an A in Latin at AS, and 11A*s at GCSE. I am eager to impart learning strategies to others to help them reach academic excellence, and ensure that students understand even the most difficult content in their subjects.

In addition, I debated competitively for over 6 years at school, winning the Northern Junior Debating Championship and Manchester National Debating Tournament. I then ran the debating societies at my previous school, coaching British Parliamentary style debating to large groups of students, perfecting both their style and level of analysis. I am confident both at ensuring your child enjoys learning how to debate, and develops key skills through doing so.
