About me

Hello! My name is Zara and I’m currently a Law student at the University of Cambridge and an aspiring corporate lawyer. I’m from Kent (in the South-East of England), but I’m half English and half Burmese. I’ve always been a diligent and conscientious student, achieving an A* in History at A-Level and three A’s in English Literature, Government and Politics and Religious Studies. I have gained many notable achievements throughout my academic career such as: scoring the highest results in my year for both GCSE history and drama; winning academic excellence awards for seven consecutive years from my top 100 national ranking Grammar School and receiving a Bursary for ‘Aspiring Lawyers’ from the American international law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.

I have independently, privately tutored GCSE level Spanish, become a mentor for Cambridge offer-holders and am also a subject parent for Law at my college in Cambridge. I completed two internships, one with a top Singaporean law Firm (Allen & Gledhill,) and another with 'Singapore Myanmar Investments Limited' working with their legal counsel. I am fluent in English and speak conversational Spanish and am very much looking forward to tutoring and enabling you to reach your full potential. I am approachable, reliable and motivated and aim to challenge my students, whilst allowing them to enjoy the subject and engage with what they are learning.
